Water Security: Key Part of Israel’s Strategy for Regional Security

With all the unrest and change in Syria, it is important to recognize that Israel’s occupation of the Golan Heights is also critical for the country’s water security. Rainwater draining from the Golan is a crucial water source for Israel’s largest freshwater reservoir, the Sea of Galilee.
