India starts water war with Pakistan during Eid ul Fitr 2013

With tension is heightened on Line of Control, India has coupled the complication by starting water war with Pakistan.

India has speed up its efforts of constructing dams on Chenab River, sources said terming this move as ‘equal’ to water war.

According to sources, India is constructing another five dams on the river, which would reduce 20 flow of the water in the river.

The groundbreaking of the dams were laid down just during Eid ul Fitr holidays by Indian President, Parnab Mukherjee.

The dams including Gondala, Jaspa, Rioli, Prithiaur would store 1.2 million acre feet water of the river Chenab.

“The project has been given the title of Indian Energy Mandir or Temple,” the sources further revealed.

Pakistan’s Indus River Commission has failed to respond on alleged water aggression from the neighbouring country despite having an accord on rivers’ water.
